Addressing Corruption Risks in Morocco’s Health Sector
On June 17th and 18th 2025, the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre, the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention, and Fight Against Corruption (INPPLC) and the Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish Embassies in Rabat held a two-day training workshop on combating corruption, with special focus on the supply of medical products and the private sector. The training aimed to build the capacity of key health sector actors to manage corruption risks, facilitate a space to discuss prevalent corruption risks, and generate buy-in and recommendations for the way forward.
Using the HGI Methodology for Managing Corruption Risks in the Health Sector, HGI Founder and President Dr. Hunter co-facilitated the workshop, providing tools and insights on identifying, understanding, analysing, and mitigating corruption risks.
The workshops concluded with practical recommendations on mitigating risk in Morocco’s health sector, which will be taken into account during the development of a study on the preparation of a corruption risk map, supervised by the National Integrity Commission.
