HGI Partners with Nursing Council of Kenya to Advance Leadership Education for Nurse and Midwife Leaders

In August 2024, HGI launches Collaboration with the Nursing Council of Kenya to jointly conduct research with Strathmore University’s Institute for Healthcare Management that will guide the development of educational programming for nurse and midwife leaders invited into governing body roles across the Kenya Health Sector. This new programming by HGI and Strathmore University will engage leaders from the U.S. based, Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC) which was founded over a decade ago by 20 nursing associations to champion and support initiatives to amplify the voice of nurses in governing stronger health systems for better health outcomes. The engagement is part of broader initiative to advance nurses in governance roles in Africa and transfer the know-how of the NOBC to the continent.
